2012 is the End of the World as We Know It ... 2013 is the New Beginning. Go Slow Quickly! 
You know, for a while there, I could see a tiny glimmer of light at the end of the tunnel. But then the Australian Senate gets rid of their carbon tax, the US president Barack Obama lifts the moratorium on fossil fuel exploration along the Eastern Seaboard, Peru … oh my gosh, Peru, and a whole whack of resource scientists and economists write a huge report that will shape the upcoming Climate Change Summit at the UN in September using 2ºC (which is deadly dangerous) as their freaking upper limit — and gone is that glimmer of light.
But perhaps I can lift my spirits by helping Rex find his heart. Thanks for this, Doug. The darker it gets, the more creative we’re going to have to become.
