This morning (December 5, 2013) please call Rex Tillerson’s office 972-444-1000 & ask that he meet with me for #coffee to discuss the contents of my book “A Scout Is Brave.”
Response to my email request to Rex Tillerson for a meeting, staff in the Office of the Chairman at ExxonMobil’s headquarters phoned me to say that he is very busy, does not take drop by requests for meetings, and only engages in business-related activities. In view of the dire warning published December 3, 2013, by Dr. James E. Hansen and 17 colleagues, it is imperative that Mr. Tillerson understand what is at stake by continuing the business plan of unfettered growth in the production, excavation, processing, transport, refining and combustion of oil, coal and gas.
The paper is titled ‘Assessing ‘‘Dangerous Climate Change’’: Required Reduction of Carbon Emissions to Protect Young People, Future Generations and Nature’.
